Why do FII flows move markets so much even when DIIs are buying?

FIIs are larger, faster, and more momentum-driven. When they sell Rs10,000 crore in a day it creates immediate liquidity shock and sentiment collapse. DIIs including mutual funds are more stable but slower. FII selling often marks local market bottoms because retail and DII money eventually absorbs the supply.
