What are CRR and SLR?

Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) is the minimum percentage of a bank's net demand and time liabilities (NDTL) that must be held in cash with the RBI — currently 4%. Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR) is the percentage that must be maintained in approved liquid assets like government bonds — currently 18%.
