Should I choose a Fixed or Floating interest rate on my Home Loan?
Floating rates (linked to repo rate) are currently lower and benefit from RBI rate cuts, but carry rate-hike risk. Fixed rates are higher initially but provide EMI certainty. Given India's interest rate cycles, most borrowers on long-tenure home loans (15–20 years) benefit more from floating rates over the long run.
