What is the Grey Market Premium (GMP) for IPOs?
GMP is the unofficial price at which IPO shares trade before listing — happening outside regulated exchanges in the grey market. A high GMP suggests strong demand and likely listing gain. A negative GMP (below issue price) predicts a poor listing. However, GMP can be manipulated and is not a reliable predictor — always evaluate the company's fundamentals.
