What are Futures and Options (F&O)?

Futures and Options are derivative contracts that derive their value from an underlying asset — a stock or index. Futures obligate the buyer/seller to transact at a future date at an agreed price. Options give the right (but not obligation) to buy/sell. F&O require margin money and are highly leveraged instruments.
