What are Infrastructure Bonds in India?

Infrastructure bonds are debt securities issued by government-backed entities (like NHAI, REC, PFC) to fund long-term infrastructure projects. They often offer slightly higher yields than equivalent government securities. In the past, they offered Section 80CCF deductions (now discontinued) but remain popular for stable, low-risk income.
