What is the Banking Ombudsman scheme?

The RBI's Banking Ombudsman (now Integrated Ombudsman Scheme) provides a free, fast dispute resolution mechanism for banking complaints — covering ATM failures, unauthorized transactions, loan issues, and poor service. Complaints can be filed at cms.rbi.org.in. Most cases are resolved within 30–45 days.
